CIRI has joined Green Star, an Anchorage based nonprofit that helps businesses reduce waste, conserve energy and prevent pollution. Green Star’s award-winning, voluntary “green business” certification program provides education and technical assistance that helps companies discover and adopt sustainable business practices.
In September CIRI launched a new office waste reduction program that encourages staff and CIRI building tenants to recycle aluminum cans and type-1 (PETE) plastic bottles. The company is now working with Green Star to find more ways to make our office and business practices sustainable.

The mission of CIRI is to promote the economic and social well-being and Alaska Native heritage of our Shareholders, now and into the future, through prudent stewardship of the company’s resources, while furthering self-sufficiency among CIRI Shareholders and their families.
