Are you stumped for ideas on what to do for your Mom, wife or other special lady for Mother’s Day?
The Alaska Native Heritage Center is having a Mother’s Day Celebration and Art Market. Complimentary (free!) admission is courtesy of Target from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. More than 60 artists will be at the Art Market and come and see the unveiling of the Alaska Statehood exhibit.
There will be performances by Medicine Dream, and there will also be Alaska Native dancing and arts and crafts for the kids.
And, the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center is celebrating their 10th Annual Free Mother’s Day event by offering free admission to everyone. It’s their way of saying “Thank you” to Moms and the other people in this great state for their continuing support over the past 16 years.
Gates open at 10 a.m. and close at 6 p.m. For more information, visit their website at www.awcc.com or call 783-2025.
