Tikahtnu Commons donated parking space for the 2011 Gold Nugget Triathlon, an athletic event for women of all ages that includes swimming, biking and running segments. Approximately 1,500 women participated in the race and more than 400 people volunteered. The event took place on Saturday, May 14, in northeast Anchorage.
