PFD Automatic Voter Registration

Alaska voters: The initiative will appear on the November 8, 2016 General Election ballot.

Ballot Measure 1:

• Allows eligible Alaska residents to register to vote when they sign up to receive the Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD). (The initiative includes an opt-out feature so that a PFD applicant may decline to be registered to vote via his/her PFD.)
• Has no impact on the PFD amount.
• Saves the state money and improves voter participation, especially in rural Alaska.
