This summer, Cook Inlet region villages, Tribes, designated Tribal organizations, and community nonprofits will host a number of camps and cultural events.
At the Tikahtnu Forum meeting in April, Cook Inlet region leaders and representatives compiled a comprehensive list of offerings, with the goal of engaging CIRI Shareholders, Descendants and other stakeholders.
“These camps and gatherings advance our regional priority of revitalizing Alaska Native culture and identity,” said CIRI President Sarah Lukin. “By celebrating our diverse Alaska Native cultures and building awareness of cultural identity, we come into closer alignment on our shared goals and values and strengthen our communities.”
