Thank you to Sarah Lukin for her service to CIRI
Effective Oct. 23, Sarah Lukin stepped down from her role as president of CIRI.
Sarah began her tenure with CIRI in June 2021, when she was hired as the company’s chief strategy officer. As president, she focused on the daily operations of the company and helped ensure that CIRI’s diverse Alaska Native cultures, programs and values remain at the forefront of all we do.
On behalf of the CIRI Board of Directors, I would like to thank Sarah for her hard work and dedication to our Shareholders and Descendants. As our company’s first standalone president, she helped ensure departmental goals aligned with CIRI’s overall vision and business strategy; supported and mentored CIRI employees, interns and others within the Alaska Native community; and helped identify and address economic, social, and cultural priorities for our region and our people.
In our search for a new president, we will focus on finding a leader who shares that same passion and dedication for all our Shareholders and Descendants, employees, business partners and others within the CIRI ecosystem. Your Board and executive team will work together on a diligent and thorough search for Sarah’s successor and we promise to keep our Shareholders apprised as we work through the selection process. Qualified Shareholders and Descendants are strongly encouraged to apply!
Warm regards,
Doug W. Fifer
