Building upon our foundation for future success
When I came on as CEO in January 2024, my goal was to enhance the Company’s investment strategy with CIRI’s vision, “our stakeholders thrive,” as our guide.
We accomplished much over the last year, not only achieving but exceeding our goals. A new acquisition, new employees, enhanced technology and increased program offerings made 2024 one for the books! I could not be prouder of our employees, all of whom supported one another as our Company evolved and expanded. Your executive leadership team, staff and Board of Directors are united in our efforts to elevate CIRI’s unique status as a diverse, well-capitalized, Alaska Native-owned corporation. While our roots remain in Alaska, we are now a world-class company with a global reach.
At the end of the year, we announced the acquisition of OSC Edge (OSC), a leading provider of IT engineering, integration and testing, and data-management services to government and private-sector businesses. Our Board’s decision to acquire OSC reflects CIRI’s commitment to growth, innovation and creating long-term value for our Shareholders.
We also welcomed Jacinda Mainord and Lexi Trainer as our Yah (Dena’ina for “grow”) Program executives. Designed to identify potential leaders, encourage creativity and innovation, and empower those looking to play a high-level role within the CIRI ecosystem, the Yah Program puts CIRI on the path of being led by its people. I’m excited to grow the program in 2025 and beyond.
This year, our collective focus will be on continued growth and expansion—refreshing our asset portfolio through the disposition of outdated assets and the purchase of newer, more efficient assets; growing our Company through mergers and acquisitions; and creating an enterprise culture, working together for the benefit of our stakeholders.
If 2024 was a year of building momentum and establishing a growth strategy to carry us forward, 2025 will build upon that strategy to sharpen the Company’s focus on key areas that make meaningful improvements. I look forward to sharing more with you in the months ahead!
