On Nov. 15, 2018, the Merritt I-66 Business Park development received the “Best Research and Development/Industrial/Flex Project Award” from NAIOP Northern Virginia, a 300-member commercial real estate development association based in Alexandria, Va.
The Merritt Business Park is a joint venture between CIRI Land Development Company (CLDC) and Merritt Properties. Once completed, the six-building, 596,900-square-foot structure will be a light-industrial/bulk warehouse development conveniently located in Manassas, Va., along Interstate 66, the busy commuter freeway that runs between Middletown, Va., and Washington, D.C.
The first phase of the development, including sitework and construction of two of the buildings, was completed in late 2017. The completed buildings are currently 61 percent leased. A third building is “shell” complete and 63 percent pre-leased, with tenant improvements expected to be completed by the end of January.
