She is survived by her husband, Lee Sheffield; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Amy Hoagland; grandchildren, Marlon, Kyle, Abby and Dominic Hoagland; and sisters, Emma and Lilly.

Mary Etta McKee died Oct. 1 at Providence Extended Care Center in Anchorage. Ms. McKee was born March 5, 1932, in Chickasha, Okla. She is survived by her daughters, Glenda Cross and Charlene Carney; and son, Wesley McKee II.

Elmer Wayne Thomas Jr. died Sept. 15 at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage. Mr. Thomas was born Sept. 5, 1949, in Deering, Alaska. He is survived by his wife, Debra M. Reed-Thomas; daughters, Marianne Hansell, Eda Thomas and Lisa Stien; and sons, Al O. Thomas, Gilbert W. Thomas, Miki L. Thomas, Elmer W. Thomas III, Earl Thomas and Morgan Harris.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Nina and Darrin Marion and Natasha and Michael Lott; sons, William Joseph Overstreet and Kyle Tweedy; grandchildren, Shaleenah, Casey and Neil Marion, Courtney and Brian Tweedy, Michael and Roman Lott and Brooke; lifelong friend and ex-husband, George Tweedy; George’s daughter, Bria Tweedy-Shane and her daughters, Kiara and Alea Shane.

Ione Lillian Wisdom died Oct. 18 at Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna, Alaska. Ms.Wisdom was born March 9, 1929, in Hoonah, Alaska. She is survived by her sister, Erma Syers; half-sister, Linda S. Ingulsrud; and brother, Oliver “Flip” Felton.
