CIRI descendant Lindsay Keener is a reserve player on the George Fox University Bruins women’s basketball team that won the 2009 NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball National Championship. The Bruins, based in Newberg, Ore., defeated the Washington University-St. Louis Bears to clinch the championship and a perfect 32-0 season record. Lindsay’s parents, CIRI shareholder Marilyn and Tim Keener of Kenai, Alaska, spent months traveling to their daughter’s games across the U.S.
