Cynthia L. Muller
CIRI BOARD SECRETARY – Haida
Cynthia L. Muller is the director, mission driven investment at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, a former member of the CIRI shareholder participation committee, and a former Southcentral Foundation employee. Ms. Muller was born and raised in Alaska, and obtained a BS in psychology from Stanford University and an MBA from the University of Washington with support from The CIRI Foundation and the Sealaska Heritage Institute.
Ms. Muller’s career has been devoted to ensuring that the capital markets are fully accessible to Native, Indigenous and Black people, and the communities in which they live. In her current role at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, she oversees a $160 million investment portfolio that seeks to reduce racial wealth inequality. Cynthia also serves on the boards of Enterprise Community Loan Fund, Mission Investor Exchange, Slack for Good, TONIIC, ABFE and is on the investment committee for the Cleveland Community Foundation and currently serves as a trustee of the CIRI Settlement Trust.
Ms. Muller brings to the CIRI Board of Directors nearly 20 years of transactional and portfolio management, along with her keen focus on driving capital and resources to her people and their community.
