Dutch Kuyper
AS CIRI’s vice president, Land and Real Estate, Dutch Kuyper sets the strategy and vision for CIRI’s multi-faceted land holdings and real estate portfolio, including ANCSA-designated lands, real estate investments, partnerships, operating companies and in-house development projects.
Dutch has over 30 years of experience in investment management, real estate development, land economics, land stewardship and natural resources, including renewable energy, agriculture and timber operations. Prior to CIRI, Dutch served as president and CEO of Parker Ranch—the second-largest private landowner in Hawai’i—where he oversaw the company’s investment portfolio, as well as the real estate division and one of the largest beef cattle operations in the U.S.
Before joining Parker Ranch, Dutch worked in the investment management industry for Capricorn Investment Group in Palo Alto, California; Morgan Creek Capital Management in New York; and Wellington Management in Boston. Prior to his job at Wellington, Kuyper worked for Boston Consulting Group in Asia and PricewaterhouseCoopers in Boston.
Kuyper holds an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Occidental College. Born and raised in Hawai’i, he is an honorary member of the Royal Order of Kamehameha, Moku O Kohala, Island of Hawai’i.
