Alaska Interstate Construction LLC (AIC), a CIRI company, completed construction of the Tanana River Bridge late summer 2010. AIC was commissioned by the State of Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities in cooperation with the Alaska division of the Federal Highway Administration to replace an existing bridge that was built in 1943 by the U.S. military. AIC also realigned the highway to match the new placement of the bridge.
The bridge is located on the Alaska Highway, approximately 10 miles east of Tok. AIC was awarded $30,650,414 for the project.
