Alaska Native Heritage Month is seeking nominations for the 2013 Alaska Native Visionary Awards. The awards aim to recognize and honor Alaska Native people who are perpetuating and preserving culture through artistic and visionary ventures such as film, photography, music, visual and literary art, performance art and so much more.
The mission of the Alaska Native Heritage Month is to celebrate Alaska Native and American Indian cultures and share our traditions and contributions during the month of November.
Nomination forms are available online at www.alaskanativeheritagemonth.com. Please consider nominating an Alaska Native person that you feel deserves recognition. The deadline for submission is Oct. 25, 2013.
