CIRI announced last month it is making our office more sustainable with a new waste prevention and reduction program. CIRI encourages employees and visitors to recycle aluminum cans and type-1 (PETE) plastic bottles by depositing them in collection bins that are located in CIRI’s fifth floor kitchens and on the first floor in the Shareholder Relations and IT departments, conference room and atrium seating area. So far we have collected about one pound of aluminum per week.

Please remember, we can only recycle Type 1 or PETE (polyethylene terephalate ethylenein) plastic that is used in soft drink, juice, water, detergent, cleaner and some food product bottles. Please avoid contamination by rinsing recycle items and removing lids from plastic containers before placing them into the collection bins. Type-1 (PETE) containers display this symbol.
