CIRI employees celebrated the holiday season with good cheers, food and a lot of fancy dance floor foot work at the Anchorage Marriott Downtown. Bare Roots rocked the party reception with excellent reggae music, and after-dinner dance music was provided by PrimeTime Entertainment.
A special feature at this year’s holiday party was the presentation of the 2008 CIRI Shareholder of the Year award to Jon Ross, president and chief executive officer of the Alaska Native Heritage Center. CIRI president and chief executive officer Margie Brown presented him a chiefs necklace and plaque to recognize his efforts to develop and improve Heritage Center facilities and programs that benefit Alaska Natives and our entire community.
The party featured many door prizes, including a grand prize of two domestic round trip tickets on Alaska Airlines. Congratulate computer whiz Eric Emerton for his good fortune in winning the grand prize!
