CIRI shareholder and Cook Inlet Housing Authority President and CEO Carol Gore was appointed to the Census Bureau’s National Advisory Committee on Racial, Ethnic and other Populations.
The 32-member National Advisory Committee advises the Census Bureau on a wide range of variables that affect the cost, accuracy and implementation of the Census Bureau’s programs and surveys, including the once-a-decade census.
The National Advisory Committee members, who serve at the pleasure of the Census Bureau director, are chosen based on expertise and knowledge of the cultural patterns, issues and statistical needs of “hard-to-count” populations. The new members will be seated on Aug. 1.
