Young CIRI descendants showed off their artistic skills in the first-ever CIRI Youth Art Contest. The entries featured vivid colors and imaginative scenes. The winning entries earned monetary prizes and were featured in the CIRI and The CIRI Foundation Fall Friendship Potlatch programs. The contest requested original artworks that interpreted the theme, “Proud to be Native in the 21st Century.” It featured two categories for artists 5 to 8 years of age and 9 to 12 years of age.
CIRI is honored to feature the winning entries and recognize the artists in this issue of the Raven’s Circle.
