Cruz Marine LLC, a CIRI company, acquired a 1,250 horse-powered tug May 2013 and named it Ari Cruz. Ari Cruz joins the shallow draft vessels Millie Cruz and Dana Cruz. Ari Cruz offers tug and barge services and vessel assistance including contractor equipment transportation, oilfield service barging in the Cook Inlet and tail boat assistance on rivers. Since May, the vessel has provided lighterage work in Port Heiden, rock-hauling services in Unalakleet and, beginning in September, will be available for rig moving in the Cook Inlet.
