Jason Moore joined CIRI as the director of corporate communications in January. Moore comes most recently from MSI Communications based in Anchorage where he managed accounts for Alaska Native corporations, oil and gas companies and issue advocacy campaigns. Moore worked at KTUU-TV, the NBC affiliate in Anchorage, for close to 15 years and anchored the Channel 2 Newshour. His writing and news reporting earned him numerous awards, including seven regional Emmys.
Originally from Seward, Moore attended Washington State University where he achieved a degree in broadcast journalism. He earned his way through college spending summers on a Prince William Sound salmon seiner and, prior to, was the first deckhand for Kenai Fjords Tours.
