On March 21, CIRI subsidiary North Wind Group sponsored the Partnership for Science and Technology’s (PST) “Up n Atom” Breakfast at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL).

The meeting was an important opportunity for PST members to receive information about energy policy for the nation and discuss the role of the national laboratory in that policy.

North Wind, which is based in Idaho Falls, Idaho, is a wholly owned subsidiary of CIRI that provides a broad spectrum of engineering, environmental remediation and construction services for government and private projects including with INL.

Four U.S. Senators, including Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), presented at the meeting. These four senators represent significant influence in the areas of energy, environment, natural resources, Indian affairs and small business. Following the meeting, the Senators spent the rest of the day touring the national laboratory.

Mike Hart, president of PST, said, “PST was proud to partner with our local Alaska Native-owned corporation, North Wind, to welcome Senator Murkowski to Idaho and host this exciting event. We are fortunate to have North Wind as a founding member in our organization.”

PST is an Idaho-based public interest organization that advocates for the advancement of science, energy and technology, and providing accurate and timely information on related regional activities including those at INL.
